There will definitely be some fun beginner waves this weekend with the mid tide sand banks being really nice for learning! Expect light to moderate onshore and across-shore winds with around 2m of swell.

Saturday 21st February
Swell - 1.8m - 2.3m
Wind - 8-13knts southerly
High Tide - 1.31pm
Low Tide - 7.35am
With the high tide being in the middle of the day you should be able to find some nice waves for learning pretty much all day! If you're a advanced beginner or intermediate surfer you want the mid to high tide.
Beginners - All day (9am - 5pm) will have fun waves for beginners. If you're wanting more mellow waves, surf the mid tide.
Look Out!! The current might be stronger on the high tide (not dangerous, just annoying).
Advanced Beginners - The mid to high tide (10am -1pm) should be fun. There will be a few good reforms / little unbroken waves.
Look Out!! If you're paddling you will probably have to do some loops.
Intermediates - The high tide will be your best bet. 11am - 2pm should have some fun waves in the middle zone.
Look Out!! Expect some water movement.
Sunday 22nd February
Swell - 2m - 2.3m
Wind - 11-18knts south westerly onshore
High Tide - 2.12pm
Low Tide - 8.16am
The swell picks up a touch over night and there will be a few stronger gusts of wind but for the most part the forecast looks similar to Saturday. Mid morning will have options for all levels.
Beginners - Similar to Saturday that mid to high tide is the go! The best beginner waves will be 10am - 5pm.
Look Out!! Look out for a strong current on the high tide.
Advanced Beginners - Go for the mid to high (11am - 2pm).
Look Out!! If you're paddling you will probably have to do some loops.
Intermediates - Same as advanced beginners, the mid to high will be best to find a fun reform.
Look Out!! Expect some water movement.
Last chance to join a programme this summer and they're starting soon!
