I hope you haven’t planned to go away this weekend because the waves are looking so fun! Expect nice clean conditions with the offshore winds and a small swell on Friday, Saturday and Sunday then picking back up on Monday!
Note - We are open for rental and lessons all weekend!

Friday 3rd April (Good Friday)
Swell - 1.2 - 1m
Wind - 9 - 15knts East
High Tide - 11.14am
Low Tide - 5.24pm
The swell drops off throughout the day and the wind stays offshore so you'll have really nice conditions all day if you're an advanced beginner or intermediate surfer. The conditions for beginners will be best on the mid and high tide.
Beginners - Look for the mid to high tide and you will score great waves. Anytime from 8am until 4pm will be really fun for learning!
Look Out!! Skip the low tide after 4pm if possible.
Advanced Beginners - Anytime after 9am should be really nice! Don't over think it, just get out there between 9am and 2pm.
Look Out!! Skip the lower tide in the evening.
Intermediates - It's a size that you should be out the back so anytime could have nice conditions depending on the sand banks.
Look Out!! Skip the lower tide at dawn incase it hasn’t dropped off enough to get out the back.
Saturday 4th April
Swell - 0.9 - 1.1m
Wind - 6 - 10knts NE
High Tide - 11.48am
Low Tide - 5.59pm
It's hard to believe but Saturday looks even better than Friday and will be the day of the weekend for most levels (maybe not intermediate, depending on your confidence). Slightly less swell and wind than Friday will make for beautiful conditions.
Beginners - My picks for best learning times are 9am - 11am and 1pm - 3pm but honestly you can't really go wrong unless you come at low tide in the evening.
Look Out!! It will be a really safe and fun day for learning, just avoid the low tide.
Advanced Beginners - It's small enough that you should be out the back (even on the slightly lower tide), 9am - 2pm will likely be the best for most.
Look Out!! If you're paddling out for the first time, be careful not to get in the way of other surfers.
Intermediates - All day will be awesome. When it's this small the lower tide can be really fun too.
Look Out!! Remember your surf etiquette.
Sunday 5th April (Easter Sunday)
Swell - 1.1 - 1.7m
Wind - 7 - 17knts NE
High Tide - 11.23am
Low Tide - 5.34pm
It's the end of daylight savings so I'm pretty sure we get to sleep in an extra hour in the morning, it also means the tides are a little funky. They move back about 30mins rather than forward like normal. The conditions are looking nice again on Sunday with a rising swell meaning most levels will be surfing the inside and looking for the mid to high tide for best waves.
Beginners - Mid to high tide will be really nice so look to surf anytime from 8am - 3pm.
Look Out!! The low tide probably won't be worth it (3pm onwards).
Advanced Beginners - The same as beginners, look for that morning incoming tide, if the swell is still small you might be able to get out the back but you'll have to check it on the day.
Look Out!! Skip the low tide after 3pm.
Intermediates - Dawn until 3pm looks really fun!
Look Out!! Probably too big for intermediates to get out the back in the arvo.
Monday 6th April (Easter Monday)
Swell - 2.1 - 1.9m
Wind - 11 - 20knts NE
High Tide - 11.56am
Low Tide - 6.10pm
The swell peaks in the morning and starts dropping off throughout the day. The conditions and swell will be really fun with the incoming tide in the morning but it will definitely be on the inside.
Beginners - Again the best learning times are 9am - 11am and 1pm - 3pm. With the extra swell just expect a little more water movement compared to the last few days but nothing you're not already used to out west!
Look Out!! Come in the morning, avoid the afternoon.
Advanced Beginners - The same as beginners, look to find some unbroken waves on the inside with the incoming tide. 9am - 3pm looks best.
Look Out!! Avoid the arvo.
Intermediates - Mid to high tide will be fun! 9am - 2pm is my pick!
Look Out!! Skip low tide.
