Weekend Surf Report For Beginner & Intermediate Surfers 21st & 22nd March

Looking like a fun weekend for waves with light variable winds and a medium size swell. High tide is around midday so you'll find nice waves for learning both mornings with the incoming tide.

Saturday 21st March

Swell  - 1.3 - 1.4m or 3 - 5ft

Wind  - Very light variable winds

High Tide - 11.58am

Low Tide - 6.13pm

Expect glassy, clean conditions especially in the morning. High tide is midday so that incoming tide from 8am onwards will be really nice.

Beginners - 8am until about 4pm look great on the mid to high tide! If you want more power in your waves go on the high tide, if you want more mellow whitewater to learn on the mid tide (8am - 11am) will be best.

Look Out!! The high tide has had some current heading north so look out for that.

Advanced Beginners - Mid to high tide will be really fun, you'll most likely be surfing the reform with the swell probably being a touch too big for advanced beginners to get out the back. 9am - 3pm is my pick.

Look Out!! The high tide has had some current heading north and you will always get pulled faster if you're paddling (not standing on the sand).

Intermediates - Looking like a really fun day for intermediates, the swell size should mean you can get out the back. If you're confident duckdiving and paddling out the back you could have luck early. If you want to play it safe the mid to high tide will be good.

Look Out!! The wind might be a little stronger in the arvo.

Sunday 22nd March

Swell  - 1.5m or 4 - 5ft

Wind  - 2knts East turning 6 - 8knts South

High Tide - 12.38pm

Low Tide - 6.54pm

Light offshore winds with the incoming tide in the morning make Sunday morning look awesome! There's a little more swell on Sunday but that shouldn't really change much for beginner or advanced beginner surfers. It might just mean intermediate surfers are trying to find a reform on high tide rather than going out the back.

Beginners - Same as Saturday, the mid tide coming in will be really fun! Surf from 9am onwards and you'll score great waves!

Look Out!! Avoid surfing on the lower tide (early or late arvo).

Advanced Beginners - Expect the morning to have really fun waves 10am - 2pm will be best!

Look Out!! If you're paddling in the reform expect the current to take you north.

Intermediates - Look to surf the mid to high tide, it might be too big for out the back so look for reforms from 10am - 2pm.

Look Out!! If it looks manageable out the back, the surf will be good early.

Surf report is accurate as of 3pm 19/3/26 and is directed at surfers not taking surf lessons with us.
