With the conditions looking pretty fun for this weekend I thought it was time to bring back our Weekend Surf Report!

Saturday 20th September
Swell - 1.6 - 2m or 4 - 6ft
Wind - 10knts Easterly
High Tide - 8.28am
Low Tide - 2.33pm
The waves will still be pretty big in the morning but the swell is dropping off all day. The offshore winds will likely make it pumping for experienced surfers out the back but beginner and intermediate can still find some fun ones at the right tide.
Beginners - The mid tide sand banks have been really good for learning lately, with long, gentle waves at the right time! Saturday you should be looking to surf anytime between 9.30am - 12.30pm and you should find great waves!
Look Out!! On the lower tide (12.30pm onwards) expect strong currents heading towards the rocks and avoid the rip by the rocks!
Advanced Beginners - Mid to high tide is the go. So look to surf anytime from 8am - 11.30am
Look Out!! Avoid the low tide after midday.
Intermediates - High tide will be best but you might find a sucky reform at low tide also.
Look Out!! Don't try paddle out the back unless you're super confident!
Sunday 21st September
Swell - 0.8 - 1.2m or 2 - 4ft
Wind - 12 - 18knts North, North East
High Tide - 9.09am
Low Tide - 3.14pm
The swell looks to drop off heaps over night so we're a chance of pumping waves on Sunday!
Beginners - Pretty much the same as Sat, expect excellent beginner waves on the mid tide. 10am until 1pm is my pick.
Look Out!! Avoid the low tide and just be aware that it's a big tide so right on high will have lots of power.
Advanced Beginners - Maybe.. This could be a really fun day for advanced beginners and intermediates, it's been a long time since it's been small and clean so I'll believe it when I see it!
Dawn until about midday will be best but expect a lot of power on high tide.
Look Out!! Dodge the low tide unless you want the beat down.
Intermediates - I don't want to get too excited for you guys until we see it but the forecast is looking fun! Same as ABs, dawn until about midday will be best but expect a lot of power on high tide.
Look Out!! Low tide will have really steep waves.
